Student Guide
As a student you land on your dashboard (/student/dashboard) after logging in.
Your QR code (digital ID)
Your dashboard displays your personal QR code. This is what your teacher scans to mark you present. Just open the dashboard and show your screen to the teacher when attendance is being taken.
- Turn your screen brightness up so the camera can read the code easily.
- Your student ID number is also shown as a fallback if a camera scan isn't possible.
If your QR stops working
If your code was ever regenerated by an administrator (for example, after you reported it lost), the old image will no longer scan. Just reopen your dashboard to display the current one.
Attendance history
Your dashboard shows:
- A timeline of your recent attendance with each day's status.
- A calendar / weekly view so you can see PRESENT / ABSENT / LATE at a glance.
Statuses mean:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| PRESENT | You were recorded as attending. |
| LATE | You were marked late by your teacher. |
| ABSENT | No attendance was recorded / you were marked absent. |
Submitting an appeal
If an attendance record is wrong or you were absent for a valid reason, go to Appeals (/student/appeals) and submit an appeal.
- Write a clear reason (e.g. "Absent on Nov 15 due to a medical emergency — please correct my attendance").
- Submit. Your teacher (or an admin) will review it.
If your appeal is approved, you'll be marked PRESENT for today. See Appeals Workflow for what happens next.
Changing your password
Your initial password is your student ID. Change it after your first login using the change-password form on your dashboard.
- New passwords must be at least 8 characters.
- You must enter your current password to set a new one.
If you're locked out, contact your school administrator — they can set a temporary password for you.
